Shifra Ahlers

Shifra Ahlers runs Momentum Gallery in downtown Asheville, a destination gallery known for its mixed media work throughout the region. She's also a mom of six, community organizer, volunteer, and a lifelong education advocate. Ask her how she's done it all, and she'll tell you it comes down to a few things: being a perfectionist, always showing up, caring deeply about others, and knowing how to advocate for yourself and the people around you. She's used those same skills to guide three kids through the college process and build lasting organizations in her community. Shifra's real passion is helping people find their voice and the confidence to tell their story in a way that makes others want to listen. She believes everyone has something worth sharing, and she's spent years empowering others to lead, grow, and become their best selves. She'll bring that same energy to this class: real talk about entrepreneurship and opportunity, staying true to your word, and building the confidence to advocate for yourself as you plan your next steps.
